AN ACCOUNT OF SOME OF BILL VERCHÈRE'S RECENT SKI ADVENTURES...

It isn't skiing, but I tried snowboarding for the first time this year. And damned near killed myself! Imagine falling on a concrete sidewalk 100 times in succession and you get the idea. I'll wait till there's powder before I try it again!

But skiing - ah! That's different! In Europe I'm known, among other things, as "The Powder King", "Conquerer of The Couloir of Death", "The Champion of Champéry", (or maybe it was "Chump"). Anyway, my daughter Mari and I went to Switzerland last March to meet up with my son Paul.

Here's the two of them...

Boy, did we show those Europeans a thing or two!
For example, here's me risking life and limb

in a very dangerous situation...

And Mari doing the same death-defying stunt on one foot!...:

After which, mutual congratulations...

Then a refreshing drink with Paul..

A banquet in our honour!  (hosted by the adoring townfolk).

Finally, back to Champéry by cable car...
